Aaloo Shimla Mirch ki Sabzi (potato and bell pepper curry )(capsicum )
POTATO AND CAPSICUM (BELL PEPPERS ) CURRY
potatoes1/2 kg cut in to cubes
bell pepper green 1 cup cut into cubes
bell pepper yellow 1 cup cut into cubes
tomatoes 2 large peeled and chopped
coriander leaves 2 tbsp
lemon juice 1 tbsp
ginger 1 inch sliced
green chili 4
red chili pwd 1/2 tsp
red chili flakes 1 tsp full
salt 1 tsp
turmeric 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds dry roasted and crushed 1 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp
oil 1/2 cup
METHOD :
first preheat oil in the pan and add tomatoes with all spices.
mix and cook 2 minutes on med low flame.
when tomato become a paste add potatoes and cook them with tomatoes for 2 minutes on high flame.
then add 1/2 cup water to cook them 80 %.
then add bell peppers and ginger in it and cook on med flame for 2,3 minutes.
now add green chilies and coriander and sprinkle lemon juice on top.
simmer for another 2 minutes and serve
if you want to serve it with rice add 1/4 cup water for gravy and if you eat it with chapati or phulka ,no need to add water.
