The CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) project is a landmark project worth over 60 billion and is the flagship project of China's trillion dollar Belt and Road initiative project, which began in 2013. The construction and activities of Gwadar Port will also bring a lot of development in western China as the distance from Kashgar to Gwadar Port is 1500 km while the east coast of China is 3500 km away from Kashgar. Due to the port of Gwadar, this distance is reduced from 2700 to 3000 km and another benefit to China is that it will lose its life in the Strait of Malacca. Under this project, special economic zones will be created in major cities in Pakistan, which will make Pakistan a factory in the world like China, meaning that companies from all over the world will shift their industry to Pakistan.
