The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which connects Asia and Europe, is the world's longest suspension bridge.To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the republic's founding in 2023, the Turkish government built the world's longest suspension bridge with a distance of 2023 meters between main towers in Çanakkale. It has a main span of 2,023 meters, or 6,637 feet, edging out the Akashi Kaikyo crossing in Kobe, Japan, for the title of world's longest suspension bridge. The bridge's total length, including the approach viaducts, is 4.6 km, or about 2.9 miles
