Try this Tawa Chicken recipe. You don't have to be in Lahore to enjoy it. Tawa chicken is very well known dish in lahore.

TAWA CHICKEN
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
-Chicken (tikka pieces) 1 kg
-Ginger garlic paste 2 tbs
-Yogurt 1 & ½ cup
-Salt 1 tsp or to taste
-Cumin seeds roasted and crushed 1 tsp
-Red chili powder 1 tsp
-Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
-Coriander seeds roasted and crushed 1 & ½ tsp
-Red chili crushed 1 tsp
-Yellow food color 1 pinch
-Oil ½ cup or as required
-Onion chopped large 1
-Tomatoes chopped 4
-Green chili sliced 3-4
-Ginger julienne cut 1 inch
-Salt ½ tsp or to taste
-Lemon juice 2 tbs
-Whole spices powder 1 tsp
-Fenugreek leaves (optional) 1 tsp
-Coriander leaves handful

Directions:
-Put the cuts on chicken for better absorption of marinating.
-In a bowl, add chicken and apply ginger garlic on chicken well and leave for 10 minutes.
-Now add yogurt, salt, cumin seeds (roasted and crushed), red chili powder, black pepper (crushed) coriander seeds (roasted and crushed) and red chili crushed, give it a good mix.
-Add yellow food color, mix well and marinate for 2-3 hours.
-Heat oil on tawa, add chicken with marination and fry until chicken is half done, set aside.
-On the same tawa, add onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add tomatoes and green chili,mix it.
-Now add ginger julienne,salt,lemon juice and mix it.
-Now shift fried chicken on tawa,stir it.Cover and cook for 10mins (each side).
-Sprinkle whole spices powder, fenugreek leaves,coriander leaves ,cover and steam cook for few minutes.
-Garnish with green chili and ginger julienne and serve.

Ajza:
-Chicken (tikka pieces) 1 kg
-Adrak lehsan paste 2 tbs
-Dahi 1 & ½ cup
-Namak 1 tsp or to taste
-Zeera roasted and crushed 1 tsp
-Lal mirch powder 1 tsp
-Kali mirch crushed 1 tsp
-Dhania roasted and crushed 1 & ½ tsp
-Lal mirch crushed 1 tsp
-Yellow food color 1 pinch
-Oil ½ cup or as required
-Pyaz chopped large 1
-Tomatoes chopped 4
-Green chili sliced 3-4
-Ginger julienne cut 1 inch
-Namak ½ tsp or to taste
-lemon juice 2 tbs
-Garam masala powder 1 tsp
-Kasoori methi (optional) 1 tsp
-Hara dhania handful

Directions:
-Chicken per cuts laga lein.
-Bowl mein chicken dal ker us per ginger garlic ka paste ache tarhan lagayein aur 10 minute kliya chor dein.
-Ab is mein dahi,namak,zeera (roasted and crushed),lal mirch powder,kuti kali mirch,dhania (roasted and crushed) aur kuti lal mirch dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Yellow food color dal ker mix karein aur 2-3 hours kliya marinate kerlein.
-Tawa per oil garam karein,aur marinated chicken ko dal ker itna fry kerlein k chicken adhe gul jaye,side per rakh dein.
-Is he tawa per pyaz dal ker 2-3minute kliya saute karein.Tamatara aur hari mirchein shamil ker k mix ker lein.
- Ginger julienne,namak aur lemon juice dal ker mix karein.
-Ab is mein fried chicken shamil kerain,dhak ker 10 minute kliya paka lein dono sides sa.
-Garam masala powder,kasoori methi aur hara dhania dal ker dhak ka thori dair kliya paka lein.
-Hari mrichein aur ginger julienne dal ker serve karein.
