It was a one-sided affair at a crowd less Sydney Cricket Ground, as Australia beat New Zealand by a vast margin of 71 runs in the 1st ODI. Special performances came from David Warner and skipper Aaron Finch, who put a brilliant partnership of 124 runs off 147 scoring half-centuries each, along with bowlers Mitchell Marsh and Pat Cummins, who bowled emphatically against a sloppy New Zealand batting line up, picking up 3 wickets
