Old Traditional way to make Walnut Oil - The Life of Walnut in Gilgit Baltistan .

I extracted Walnut strain, and I help my mom to extract Walnut oil in old traditional way. I used Walnut strain to paint my garden door and dye a cloth. The walnut strain were also used by my mom and neighbor to dye their hair.

We extracted walnut oil in old traditional style on big heated stone. I made traditionally designed stone for extracting oil from walnut paste.

The healthy nutrient rich walnut oil is used to make many dishes in Gilgit Baltistan. We made Chamuriki - the oil mixed with smashed fresh warm chapatti.

My garden door needed its color repair and walnut strain did it magic spell!
