HOW KIND ARE ARABS?

If a stranger showed up at my front door what would I do? What would my father have done? We have an age old tradition in our culture that when a stranger would show up to our house or in our camps during the old days it was our duty to help them and serve them for three days.

My city Abu Dhabi has started a new program that gives visitors and tourists the opportunity to visit the home of a local Emirati and get a first hand experience our life, culture and traditions. The tradition of welcoming guests into our homes dates back to the times of the bedouin who were living in the desert, a tradition that still defines us today, a tradition that many say helped us survive those harsh times, and this is why it is still important.
