SHE'S LEAVING ME!
One of the hardest things to manage in a relationship is when there is distance between two people who love each other, as Salama is taking the boys for a short "women and kids only" holiday I was reminded of how we managed distance in the beginning of our marriage as we both lived in different cities for almost a year.
During that time I was reading Khalil Gibran where he said "“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. ". Although it didn't make the distance any easier on us, it allowed us both to see the good that can come from our distance, how we could appreciate each other more when we were together, how we made the most of our time together, how the distance could make ourselves and our relationship stronger, and most importantly that there is an opportunity to learn and grow in every situation no matter how hard it may seem.
