⁣Lexus LF-A is one of the most unusual and amazing projects of the Japanese company, which at one time made a lot of noise, but its economic success put an end to the further development of the project.
Well I have good news for you, it looks like for the first time the new electrification trend is making some positive difference in the lives of car enthusiasts and thanks to Lexus following the new trends and planning to introduce a whole family of electric vehicles by 2030, one in each segment , they will include a full-fledged supercar and a direct successor to the Lexus LF-A.
These are not rumors, but completely official information from the Japanese company itself.
But let's talk about everything in order.
Back in December 2021, Toyota, together with Lexus, held a large-scale event at which they presented a huge number of models, and no one really said anything about them. In general, the presentation was strange. And only now in Lexus they began to explain and tell at least something.
So all the models presented at that mysterious presentation will go into the series, among them is this two-door handsome man. This is the concept of an electric supercar that will replace the Lexus LF-A and become its direct successor.
The most interesting thing is that this is already a pre-production concept and its appearance makes it clear what the first electric supercar from Lexus will look like, the company decided to keep the body proportions of the classic LF-A with a long hood and a short rear end, this is not very appropriate for an electric car, since it does not have a large atmospheric V10, the company's designers took such a step to preserve the continuity of generations and no one had any doubts that this was the heir to the LF-A.
Lexus is hiding the technical specifications of the project, but something is still known.
The supercar will be all-wheel drive and, thanks to the enormous power of the electric power plant, the performance of which has not yet been disclosed, will spend a little more than two seconds on the first hundred.
And it's very, very fast. Given that the new product cannot avoid comparisons with the new Nissan GT-R, which, based on Nissan's latest statements, will receive a hybrid power plant with an upgraded V6, Lexus has an ace up its sleeve.
We all understand perfectly well that in the world of supercars there are no such requirements for the range, the hybrid is a compromise with a bunch of resulting problems in the form of excess weight, so it may be right that Lexus decided not to waste time on the transition stage, because the new GT is overclocking -R, if it is hybrid, is unlikely to catch up with the electric Lexus, but in terms of power reserve, the heir to the LF-A has a trick up its sleeve, these are new-generation solid-state batteries with which it will be equipped and which guarantees a power reserve of a solid 700 km of track .
