2025 Mercedes AMG E53 Brutal Luxury Midsize Sedan
After briefly going MIA, the 2025 Mercedes-AMG E53 sedan returns with a potent plug-in-hybrid powertrain. The system pairs a turbocharged six-cylinder engine with an electric motor that produces up to 604 horsepower. While the sports sedan's interior and exterior styling remain rooted in the timeless E-class aesthetic, AMG adds customary touches. The plug-in hybrid has an EPA-estimated all-electric driving range of 42 miles, and its 21.2-kWh battery can go from 10 to 80 percent charge in about 20 minutes using a DC fast-charger. Compared with the not-as-sporty Benz models, the E53 has an AMG-tuned all-wheel-drive system and adaptive suspension. For 2025, the E53 sedan is flying solo, as the coupe and convertible are not scheduled to return to the fold
