Tom and Jerry, 26 Episode - Solid Serenade (1946)

"Solid Serenade" (fragment), is a 1946 one-reel animated cartoon and is the 26th Tom and Jerry short, produced in Technicolor and released to theatres on August 31, 1946 by Metro-Goldwyn Mayer. It was produced by Fred Quimby and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, with musical supervision by Scott Bradley, and animation by Ed Barge, Michael Lah and Kenneth Muse, with uncredited animation by Pete Burness and Ray Patterson.

Excerpts of this cartoon are seen in three other Tom and Jerry shorts, "Jerry's Diary", "Smitten Kitten" and "Smarty Cat", the latter instance with altered audio.
The popular view that the song "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby" in this episode, himself performs Fred Quimby, but it is not. Song in this episode performs a little-known wide range of people actor and singer 1930-40's Ira "Buck" Woods. Probably his name is not have included in the opening credits of the series due to ethnic of discrimination against black people in the United States in those years.
