When the Kia Telluride debuted in 2020, it immediately impressed us with its thoughtful design, high levels of comfort, and accommodating third-row seats. Now, it seems the company is working the same magic on the similarly sized battery electric, three-row 2025 Kia EV9. Available with either rear- or all-wheel drive, EPA range estimates run from 230 miles to 304 for the extended-range models. Pricing starts in the upper mid $50,000 range, picking right up where the Telluride maxes out, but savvy owners can offset some of that price premium by charging at home when the rates are the lowest. (As a side note, Kia is sending NACS charging adapters to buyers who purchased CCS port-equipped EV9 on or after September 4, 2024. Kia vehicles will adopt the NACS port sometime in 2025.) While towing can significantly reduce the range of any EV, the EV9 is rated to tow the same 5000 pounds as the Telluride if you need it. Compared to the few other three-row electric SUVs on sale today, the EV9 is a relative bargain. This affordability doesn't come at the expense of features either. Combined with edgy styling, decent range, and quick DC charging, it's easy to see why the EV9 is a slam dunk.Read More
