From the ground: "Morning everyone. There's a real freshness in the air this morning, and not just because England have named three debutants. There's a slight chill in the air, a solid cloud cover, and some talk about a bit of rain around lunch time. Fortunately it doesn't look as though it will be anything significant," says Tristan Holme, who must be (un)comfortably suited up at the Oval.
So, for England, Tom Westley, Dawid Malan and Toby Roland-Jones replace Gary Ballance, Liam Dawson and Mark Wood respectively. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada returns after a one-match ban, and will slot in for Duanne Olivier. These aren't panic selections from England, for there have been injuries, but when a win here can guarantee you at least a drawn series, three debutants aren't quite high on the to-do list. But then again, you never know.
