Michael Jackson Stop Motion Animation Tribute

Michael Jackson's Thriller Tribute done using stop motion animation

- This 4 minute video took me 5 months to make, from conception to completion.
- There was a total of 19 hand sculpted puppets which were 6 - 7 inches tall. Made using Polymer Clay with a Aluminum wire armature.
- The size of the set was 6 foot 4 inches long, by 34 inches wide
- Animation was shot on 2's (12 frames per second) - which means I took 12 individual photos for every one second of footage seen.
- During the dance scenes I was doing an average of 28 puppet movements per frame (arms, legs, head, wrist...) - which equals to around 336 movements per second - all of which had to be in sync with each other and in time to the music.

I dedicated this stop motion video to my German Shepherd, Shadow, who sits faithfully by my side and keeps me company while I work - and who is sitting at my feet as I type this now!
