ACHARI CHICKEN ( how to make pickled chicken )

chicken 750 grams
turmeric 1/2 tsp
garam masala pwd 1/2 tsp
salt 1 tsp or to taste
whole red chilies 8 to 10 cut in to pieces
coriander 1 tbsp
fennel seeds 1 tbsp
mustard seeds 1 tbsp leveled (coriander,fennel and mustard seeds are coarsely crushed )
nijela seeds 1/2 tsp
cumin 1 tsp
dry fenuegreek seeds 1/4 tsp
ginger 1 inch jullianne
garlic paste 1 tbsp
paste of 5 med blanched onions with 3 green chilies and 1 inch ginger.
lemon 1 or 2 tsp
yogurt 1 cup
oil 2/3 cup

METHOD:
in a wok pour oil and add ginger with chicken and cook it til meat change its color.
then add onion paste and all dry spices.
mix well and cover the lid and cook on med low flame for 5 mins.
when oil comes out on top add crushed whole red chilies and yogurt and mix.
cook the chicken completely in yogurt water on med low flame.
it takes 12 to 15 mins.
then add nijela seeds and ginger,squeeze lemon juice and add green chilies.
keep it on simmer for another 2,3 mins and serve.
