Instant Badam Firni (Rice pudding) Recipe | Phirni desssert by Food Fusion
Firni recipe in Urdu
Ingredients:
- Doodh 500 ml
- Chawal ka atta 4 tbsp
- Badam 1/4 cup
- Cheeni 5 tbsp or to taste
- Pani ¼ cup
- Arq e Gulab 1 tsp
- Elaichi Powder 1 tsp
- Namak ¼ tsp
- Chopped Badam for garnish
Directions:
- Pan main doodh aur pani shamil karein aur ek ubaal aane tak chamcha chelate rahein
- Jab ubaal akar doodh bohat garam hojaye to is main badam ka powder aur elaichi powder shamil karke mix karein.
- Doodh main chamcha chelate rahein. Aur cheeni shamil karein
- Cheeni jab ghul jaye to is main chawal ka atta ruk ruk ke shamil karte jaye. Is waqt musalsal whisking ya chamchay ki madad se mix karte rahe warna lumps ban jayenge.
- Jab Firni achi tarah gaarhi hojaye to is main apni pasand ke mutabiq arq e gulab ya essence shamil karein. Akhri dafa mix karein aur dish main nikal lein.
- Dish out karein and acha thanda karke firni serve karein.
Firni recipe in English
Ingredients:
- Milk 500 ml
- Rice Flour 4 tbsp
- Almond 1/4 cup
- Sugar 5 tbsp or to taste
- Water ¼ cup
- Rose water 1 tsp
- Cardamom Powder 1 tsp
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Chopped Almonds for garnish
Directions:
- In a pan add milk and water and keep stirring till boiled once.
- Once very hot add Almond powder and cardamom powder and mix.
- Keep stirring and mix in the sugar.
- When sugar dissolves completely add rice flour with intervals and keep whisking to avoid lumps.
- Keeping whisking so it becomes thick like pudding.
- In last add Rose water or essence and give last mix.
- Dish out and chill the firni before serving.
