Toss: Ireland has won the toss and decided to bat first. Both Mohammad Irfan and Younis Khan are not part of today’s game. They are replaced with Haris Sohail and Ehsan Adil. So far Ireland has emerged as the strongest team among all the associate members. They have achieved a lot and are still in the race when all others are lost in the dust. They share equal points with Pakistan while at the time of this writing, they are ahead of West Indies. They have proved themselves as tough foes at ground for even the strongest teams. The most challenging task for them will be Pakistan’s pace attack that has baffled the likes of South Africa in the tournament. Pakistan started poorly but after the inclusion of Younis Khan and Sarfraz, they won three matches in succession. If they maintain the same performance in bowling and fielding, Ireland has little chances of victory today. Pakistan’s batting, however, has always been a concern and Ireland will target this soft belly. Pitch & Weather Report: There is little chance of rain today which means we will enjoy a full game. Pitch seems to be supportive of bowlers to some extent but not altogether antagonistic against the batsmen. A total above 250 will be difficult to achieve for the team chasing it. Ireland Team: WTS Porterfield*, PR Stirling, EC Joyce, NJ O’Brien, A Balbirnie, GC Wilson†, KJ O’Brien, JF Mooney, SR Thompson, AR Cusack, GH Dockrell Pakistan Team: Sarfraz Ahmed†, Ahmed Shehzad, Haris Sohail, Misbah-ul-Haq*, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan, Rahat Ali, Ehsan Adil
